Found at 2, Granary Square, near King's Cross Station, this is the UK's first public gallery dedicated to illustration.
When I visited this morning (22nd December), there were two exhibitions: Lauren Child's Dolls' House and E.H Shepherd: An Illustrator's War. Both were fascinating.
Lauren Child has been working on her dolls' house for 30 years and it was lovely to see how she has combined techniques, personally made and purchased items to decorate it.
Around the room is a display of artwork from her books, including room boxes for 'The Princess and the Pea'.
The other exhibition is the work of E H Shepard from the trenches during the First World War. It shows what an amazing artist he really was and includes many personal possessions from this time, including letters and diaries.
The exhibition concludes with a very interesting film showing Chris Riddell, Ian Hislop and others discussing Shepard's work. Well worth a visit!
