Today, I visited Wallingford, the town where Agatha Christie died. Even in the pouring rain, it's a very attractive place, full of history and some lovely independent shops. One of these is The Wallingford Bookshop (pictured above in the rain!)
This lovely little shop is crammed full of lovely books. Even though we went to Bath last Saturday and I've popped to bookshops to pick things up twice after work this week, I left with a pleasing haul- and could have bought much more!
The children's section is beautifully presented; parents were sharing stories with their children in the nook at the back of the shop which has a tempting array of interesting titles.
Friendly staff were on hand to help and seemed to know everyone (except me!) by name. The shop was busy - obviously a thriving concern- and deservedly so. I shall be going back.
