Happy Harry Potter Night!

What a fantastic day I've had! Not one, but two Harry Potter events...

We were lucky enough to be invited to Waterstone's in Weston for 'A Morning of Spells' with the amazing staff there. Sian was fantastic and led the morning's activities brilliantly! We took part in quizzes, created and drew our own Patronus, hunted for socks to set the House Elves free and had some really tasty snacks and drinks!

It was such a fun morning! Two of the group won prizes for their costumes and one won a prize for their Patronus. The time passed far too quickly and we found ourselves back on the mini-bus, heading to school, buzzing with excitement.

Thank you so much to the staff at Waterstone's in Weston super Mare who hosted an excellent event and made us all so welcome.

After school, I donned my witches' hat once more and led the Hogwart's first years to the hall where they took their places at the house tables, having first visited Gringotts and changed their money into sickles.

There were scavenger hunts, wizard duels, shopping at Hogsmeade, most wanted photos to be taken and invisible ink to try before the snack trolley came round and we settled down to the great quiz. Slytherin won the cups for the quiz, Hufflepuff won the scavenger hunt and there were three prizes for costumes!

Thank you to all the staff who supported the event- and to the children who came!

It has been a wonderful day. Pass the magic on...
