I loved Nadiya on the GBBO; I love baking cakes; I love stories! For me, this is a fantastic book!
The book is beautiful. Lavishy illustrated with a mixture of photographs and drawings, the stories and recipes are a delicious combination, perfect for getting children and parents together.
Each story has a recipe to go with it. Both story and recipe have Nadiya's magic touch as the Little Red Hen has help with her baking and makes blueberry and Orange soda bread; the troll under the bridge is treated to the Goat's cheese and caramelised onion tart and the Pied Piper becomes the Mayor and is given a stripy Zebra cake!
Nadiya's love for her children comes shining through the book. The photos are great fun and the recipes are straight forward and clearly explained. I haven't had a chance to try any out yet, but plan to make the French Apple Tart as my contribution to the Macmillan World's Biggest Coffee Morning at school!
With recipes aimed at the 'Beginner Baker', the 'Clever Cook' and the 'Head Chef', lots of hints and tips and great stories, this book is a real winner!
