People living in Warwickshire are very lucky! Not only do they have the wonderful Kenilworth Books (see post here), they also have Warwick Books in Warwick. Two amazing independent bookshops within 20 miles of each other!
Bright and spacious, Warwick Books encourages the reader to sit and browse with a cuppa whilst contemplating their choices. Books on a wide range of subjects are attractively displayed, making gathering a large pile effortless.
The children's section is attractive and well stocked, with a window display devoted to books to appeal to younger readers. Personal recommendations from the staff are attached to various titles, offering advice to potential buyers.
A separate YA section offers an excellent range of up to date reads, again with recommendations. I spotted many favourites in the selection!
The French lady who served me, who I believe is called Pauline, was delightful. When she found they didn't have the book I was after in stock, she ran upstairs and found me a proof copy which I was delighted with! The fact she counted my pile of books in French added to the charm!
