Sam Lyttle tends to tell lies. In fact, it is quite often easier for him to tell a lie than to face up to the truth. Good hearted and well intentioned as he is, Sam finds himself in the class bully's bad books and the more he tries to put things right, the bigger the hole he digs himself!
Part comic strip, part narrative, 'The Pudding Problem' is a very funny, very clever, little book which will engage even the most reluctant reader. The illustrations are wonderful- full of little jokes and things to notice- as well as adding to the story.
The story is very appealing and full of great characters. I hope there are more books about Sam and his family - and Pudding, of course-to follow.
