LONGLIST REVIEW: Fantastically Great Women Who Changed The World

Being a descendent of Emmeline Pankhurst, Kate Pankhurst had a great starting point for her collection of amazing women who have done amazing things. This incredibly accessible and entertaining book looks at the lives of women who have changed the world in many different ways.

These women simply followed 'their hearts, talents and dreams. They didn't listen when people said they couldn't do something. They dared to be different.' Their stories are told concisely and effectively on bright double page spreads with appealing illustrations.

Amongst some more familiar names- Emmeline Pankhurst, Mary Seacole, Anne Frank- there are some less well known women as well- Sacagawea, Agent Fifi, Gertrude Ederle. The emphasis is on following your dreams and changing the world in your way!

An essential addition to any library, this is a brilliant book to share and enjoy.
